Fired! And Deservedly So!
How many days could you produce nothing before the boss called you into their office?
That’s basically what has happened!
I was on a roll.
I wrote most days in November! I even wrote a summary of “Taking Writing Seriously”.
Then came December. I started well. Three stories in five days.
Then …
… nothing!
This is my first story since then!
If that had been my day job, I’d be unemployed by now. And so would you!
But, you wouldn’t do that in your day job.
You’d turn up every day, and work, and produce stuff.
Why do we treat our personal pursuits and passions so differently?
What Happened?
Stuff!
Stuff happened! Like it does to you, me and everyone else.
I got a new client in December.
Family arrived for Christmas on 16 December.
Frantic Christmas shopping throughout all that.
New Year!
I had so many ideas for stories running through my head. Too many perhaps.
