Was it just me? How come it seemed everyone else was getting amazing results but I was stuck in the week-to-week lottery … and I never wining the grand prize?
This was my first role as a sales manager! I felt like the lost child at every meeting. Everyone had success stories to tell but when it came to my turn, it was … underwhelming. Sure there were improvements, upticks, green shoots. Maybe I wanted it too quickly!
But, to be honest, some of the stories my colleagues told and the sales figures they presented seemed hard to believe and, mathematically, impossible.
I felt like I was working my guts out while others got the glory! At least, that’s how I felt. Not that I wanted glory, per se, just a level playing field would have been nice. And I’m not saying my colleagues weren’t working hard.
But I couldn’t put my finger on what I was doing wrong! If anything!
