I’m 61. If you’re in your 30’s that’s old! But if you’re in your 60’s, it really is just a number.

Being 60+ isn’t past my “use by” date. In fact, I’m going the extra mile, literally!

In this video, I talked about “slow growth”. How nothing worthwhile happens overnight, though social media wants us to think life is full of instant gratification.

I suggest committing to something for 30 days before expecting to see long term benefits.

I committed to “rucking” everyday since that video was posted until June 30. A total of 35 days.

I’ve now rucked for the past 9 days straight.

Rucking is a form of exercise with roots in military training. Very simply, it’s walking a set distance while carrying a weight in a backpack. Rucking (also known as ruck marching) comes from the word “ruck sack,” which is a durable backpack meant for carrying equipment.

I go for a walk every day anyway. Anything from 3–5 km. Now I add my weighted vest.

I started with 10kg, upped it to 13 and now it weighs 15kg. I have the option of adding 5kg more.
