Thanks again Stephen. I did write a subsequent reply but wanted to review it so I will post it once I'm happy with it. I appreciate the conversation. I love these debates by the way. 🙌

I am critical of the church though and how they present information as it can only be an interpretation of how one reads the passage. This can't be helped as we are the products of our upbringing. So bad apples, good apples, everyone is interpreting what they read. 🤷‍♂️ Even Catholic priests interpret the bible, just like pastors. They are no different.

If homosexuality is an abomination, sorry to raise this, but what about the pedophiles among your congregation? Why is that not condemned from the rooftops? While every devout catholic, including yourself, attends church on Sunday, who is the in the pulpit? A devout minister or ... how would you describe these monsters? Perverts?

Being a Catholic, you would be aware of the many errant teachings in times past that are now known to be errors. (e.g. indulgences). Was that correct at the time?

(I literally just found this while checking for the correct term for "Indulgences" https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/254802/vatican-grants-plenary-indulgence-for-st-thomas-aquinas-jubilee-celebrations. But this appears to be in conflict with John 14:6.

If people aren't Catholics are they wrong too and doing whatever the hell they want?

These are genuine questions.

Your opinion of me (doing whatever I want (You couldn't have read the whole comment before I removed it)) is of little consequence.

But let's keep the conversation going! 😀
