The Problem with Being Healthy

Losing weight is only part of the solution!

But it’s just the start!

I’m 178cm (5'10") and, as of this morning, weigh 84.2kg. For some that is fine … but I need to lose between five and 10 kg for an ideal bodyweight for me.

People look at me and wonder where I’m going to lose it as I seem to carry it well. I must be one of those TOFI’s: Thin Outside, Fat Inside.

Carrying around less weight would be a welcome change for my muscles. I’m sure my legs would appreciate less upper weight to lug around. Especially when I’m out on a run.

But losing weight is only part of the equation.

There are other factors I need to work on:

  1. My blood work
  2. My Vo2Max
  3. My HRV

I’ve just got my blood work done.

I focus on my HBA1C for diabetes, thanks to my dad and probably not a little to do with my lack of attention. And my cholesterol for my familial hypercholesterolemia, thanks to my mum.

I also suffer from sleep apnea. So all of these issues can tend to exacerbate each other.

I’m a real catch, huh?
