This may be an over simplification but when we compare Garmin to Apple, Garmin does have a plethora of options but the key is "knowing what you want" and then it becomes clearer (but it takes personal responsibility). If by Garmin's Q&A, you mean their comparison approach to compare watches, it is quite helpful - if you know what you want.
Conversely, I find Apple tells consumers what they want ... and they package it very well. They are adding more and more stock apps to their devices which I think spells trouble for Garmin (and app developers).
I have a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro and an AW6 - the Garmin wins more often than not. But that is based on what I'm looking to achieve.
