Your Comfort Zone Is Your Enemy!

Here’s How to Deal With It and Win!

Iwas reading Eve Arnold’s latest newsletter. She mentions the first snow fall of the season and how cold it is (-4C). She talked about cosy nights and warm fires. It sounded very comfortable!

It made me (re)think about our comfort zones. They are called that for a reason. They are safe, warm, away from the cold.

But a comfort zone is deadly to progress.

Here’s a way to fix that! Permanently!

We all know about our computer’s modes: System, Light and Dark Mode.

When you find yourself seeking the warm fire and a cozy night, think about which mode you are in.

The problem is when you are in the wrong mode for the work you do and the progress you want.

Enter the Modes — System, Light, Dark

If we view ourselves in different modes, we see what might be happening. And if we see what is happening, we may be able to make the change we want.

Type 1 — System Mode

This is where, on a computer, the time of day or other setting dictates the mode you work in. Light or dark.
