You Can Do Whatever You Put Your Mind To!
The main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing!
Last week I facilitated a Strategic Planning workshop for a manufacturing company. It was my first in a while. It ran smoothly, we achieve our outcomes, and I am very excited for their future. I saw lights turning on, ideas being sparked, and transparency of communication on the rise.
A lot of planning went into developing the program and ensuring I delivered for my client. Amidst all that, we celebrated my wife’s birthday, I was in the hospital, twice, for operations over the month and my wife’s brother passed away.
Focus!
That was my mantra for the month as I reviewed my material and process for delivering what the client wanted. I had to be lasered in on what I needed to achieve. I reviewed my process time and again to make sure each session built upon the previous one so I could bring the participants, many of whom had never been involved in such an event, to an expected conclusion and all of them on the same page.
The day of my brother-in-law’s funeral saw me at the conference facilitating the workshop. I did not let on to the client! Focus!
